Juventus are ahead in the race to sign Marko Pjaca as Sky Sport Italia report the player has given his consent to join the Bianconeri.
The Croatian international was linked with a host of clubs, including Juventus and AC Milan, with his agent confirming that there was a lot of interest in his client.
Recent reports suggested that the Bianconeri and Rossoneri were both in talks with the player, however Sky Sport Italia suggest that Juve are closest to signing the player.
Sky Sports journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reports today that Pjaca has made a decision to join Juventus, with the total transfer expected to cost close to €25m, including bonuses.
Great young addition.I think he is Primarily a LW but he can play well as a RW and SS. I think he will be a dybala sub in this squad.
Keeping POGBA and buying a great fast striker and good MF. this mercato will be a 20/10
or we push for Cuadrado and play 4-3-3 without replacing Morata ?
Keeping Pogba is everything this summer. Just for the ‘fuck you, we are not a small club’ factor. If he wants to go, no worries
Need to see some more departures now – Pereyra, Hernanes.
dont want cuadrado back in torino,
He can play for Torino FC if he wants though ;).
lol
Why?
not worth the money, had some good games but he is more useless than usefull. his passing is fukn disaster and as u could see, he didnt get any better over year, yep he is fast and has pace, but he hardly beats better defenders, and to buy some1 for over 20m to play against chievo or atalanta, nope thanx, we reportedly signed pjaca for 20+5m on bonnuses so no need for this mediocre guy.now we need some beast up front and we have the best mercato ever.
True he kept sucking even in Copa America, James was the only Star of the team, Cuadrado was a let down…..I mean he has the skill its just that his form is bad, he needs inspiration, the talent is there just not the form. Still i would rather sign Depay as replacement rather than cuadrado
yep, depay over cuadrado anyday anytime
Don’t know what hs depay done to be prefferd to cuadrado.Cuadrado was decisive for juve in CL and seria A both.
for the Record i’ve never stated “We should not sign Cuadrado” He is a good player, and his speed is enough to unsettle defenders. however he lacks technique and concentration. I aknawledge his good CL run which is why i dont oppose his return…if we can bring cuadrado for cheap (under 2o K ) then by all means, But if management is to only choose 1 player between Depay and Cuadrado to bring home, then a million times over i prefer Depay; Cuadrado had his chance.
The reason why i prefer Depay is:
#1 Depay is a lot, but a lot younger
#2 Depay is an overal more technical player
#3 Depay is good in free kicks and shots from distance
#4 Depay has plenty of room to grow and develop into something great with the proper guidance (which i believe Juventus can deliver) ..Cuadrado at best will return to former glory and even that isnt to impressive.
#5 Depay is just as fast, if not faster than Cuadrado, and if he isnt now then he sure as hell will be, because of age.
Wonder if this guy is any good. Haven’t really seen him at all. I do trust Beppe.
I saw that Juve is fielding offers for Pereyra. Sounds like this would be a direct replacement. I would give Pereyra one more year, only because of how good he was two years ago. But I will gladly defer to Beppe.
Known as Croatian Ronaldo in Croatia.
As a Croatia supporter can I say he’s comparable to Alen Boksic, if anyone remembers him at the same age. He needs to improve his crossing possibly, but that is because he tends to drive at defenders rather than run wide like Perisic might. The biggest mistake made was benching him and playing Brozovic against Portugal, total disaster when you have the Croatian footballer of the year watching a box to box midfielder doing a rubbish job in your position. A phenomenon in the making
do you rate him that highly ? is he a pure winger or can he play as a second striker as well ? where do you see him fitting in at Juventus ?
I do rate him that highly. Had Boksic not been injured people would be talking about him and not Suker, people forget how good he was. Suker only made the WC team when Boksic pulled out, I loved that guy. I see Pjaca as an exact double almost. Size, speed, scores with both feet, direct. He can play either wing if needed, but it limits him slightly playing on the right. Pace is his main weapon, it would be wasted if he was central and didn’t have the space to use it, so I see him as a winger solely myself. He tends to sit deep and draw defenders into one on one situations, that’s where his dribbling and speed with the ball at feet is most dangerous. Can he play second striker, I think so, but it seems a waste not to use his attributes out wide, so I think he’s more of a wide front 3 rather than a traditional 2. I have no idea where Juve see him, but I think when you buy a guy who was voted player of the year as a left sided winger, then you don’t tinker too much
From the few youtube videos i’ve seen he is more like the Croatian Messi..He’s an expert dribbiler, but doesnt do many free kicks or longshots like ronaldo
Great move! At least considering what I saw from him for Croatia, what a potential! Truly should have been a starter for Croatia, but perhaps understandably behind the players Croatia have available as it is.
If the alternative was Gotze, then I’m really happy we got Pjaca. Gotze was so poor in the Euros, and if he was unwilling to join Juve by lowering his wage demands, then so be it.
is he any good? I didnt really follow the Euros, I was glued on Copa America. Anyone have any good videos? Jaansen would be another good buy although i read totenham practically just scooped him up. Anyways i still will like to see the Addition of Alexis Sanches and Depay. Ive read we are very close to Depay, and Arsenal is still playing hard to get with Sanches
Depay really? I’m not sure of his abilities and I don’t think he would fit right now anyway
Sanches would probably cost 55-60 million and Depay will probably be given another chance this year. Although if we can get Memphis at $20 million it would be worth the risk.
I read Mourinho didnt like him much, and Man U is eager for money to fund Pogba deal XD…ill try to find that link again
yep i ve read that too, but mou can forget pogba move
true, Thats why i Cringe when i read that we want a Man U player…hopefully they dont make business difficult. Although The power and size of clubs is also measured by the players they keep, If Barcelona can keep Messi all his career, if Madrid can kepp Christiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale, If Bayern Munich can keep Muller, Lewandowski and Alaba…why Cant we Keep Pogba, and Bonucci? especially to a team that lives in former glory? Fuck you Manchester U.! we need to take Martial see how they feel
i think we have really great chance to keep both, bonnu is italian, playing for the best club in italy, no reason to change for some english rainy shit.and pogba will stay as long as he keep winning, maybe in 5 years he will move on .but not now.
Sanches would be worth it for 60 million, i would not mind at all. i mean u pay for what u get, and if juve is serious about Champions, they need to have at least one big money transfer on someone proven. Also Sanches had an amazing Copa America which is why Arsenal is back stepping on selling him, so if he keeps that form, i wouldn’t mind 60Mill price tag, and an extra 20-35 Mill for Depay. If we can get these two, coupled with the already signed: Alves and Pjanic, It would make my transfer season and all else would be icing on the cake
he is a big flop at Man U, but then so was/is Schwansteiger and even with his flop no one i think doubts his abilities. Depay showed enormous potential in the Netherlands; Somone in Juve has the powers of Jurgen klopp that turns kids into big stars…look at Pogba,Dyabla,Rugani who are getting there, so i’d say if we can get Depay for cheap since he is in bad form and Mourinho sees no use in him (so ive read) he is well well worth the gamble. I mean at worst he becomes another Cuadrado that cant cross or pass well and just runs into opponents, although he is really really fast, But that speed is enough to worry defenders.
You mean Vincent Janssen?
yea
He’s a dumbass for forcing a transfer so soon. He’s had not even 1 good season, maybe half a year he’s been good. Who’s to say it wasn’t all luck? He’s 22 years young, has ALOT to learn. He should stay at AZ for atleast one more year, or transfer within the country. We can’t risk a player like this and we have enough attackers for now. Sanchez on the other hand i wouldn’t say no to. Proven in Italy.
I’ve really only seen him play when Croatia played Spain this Euros, but this has the makings of a very good transfer. I posted a few weeks ago about how we should be looking at an attacking midfielder and not a defensive one, considering the players who we already have. Isco and Gotze were our first targets but for different reasons they are not available, so getting Pjaca makes sense.
If we can sell Pereyra and Hernanes for about 25M, then Pjaca essentially swaps with them and probably has lower wages than their combined total. It just makes a lot of sense. I’m assuming we are keeping Asamoah, which is actually very good news if he can stay fit.
Benatia is pretty much a done deal so we have 9 defenders and 8 midfielders in the squad now. Probably need to replace Neto with Mirante for the “homegrown” purposes and then find a suitable replacement for Morata. Also adding in a 5th striker from the primavera might be necessary. So far the transfer window has gone reallllllyyyyyy well for us!
Very good addition!! He had 14 goals and 9 assists in total this season. This kid has world class potential in my opinion. He has really quick feet, very strong on the ball and is able to fend off defenders while dribling the same way Pogba does. Positioning is excellent and he is one hell of a passer. This is good of a product as you will get at 21 years old. As good as Andre Gomes is with the ball but faster and much better shooter. The only thing he will need some time to adapt is the tactical side off the game with the stingy italian defenses. 25 million is a bit but this is the market we are in now so sacrifices have to be made. Choosing us over Milan and Inter really shows you how determined he is. Clearly he could’ve gotten much more playing time with the other two teams but it looks like he is confident in his abilities. This is true bianconeri DNA folks, and my gosh how much money dinamo makes with these prospects. They are a gold mine with these kids (Modric, Mandzukic, Brozovic, Halilovic etcc).
