Juventus want to complete a deal for Matthijs De Ligt before the weekend with the aim of having him available for their pre-season tour.

The 19-year old has reportedly agreed terms with Juventus over a five-year-contract despite having begun pre-season training with Ajax.

Corriere Torino now report that there is still a gap between what Juventus have offered and what Ajax are asking, but the the distance is huge and the transfer is expected to be completed soon.

The newspaper reports that “soon Matthjis de Ligt will be a Juventus player” and that Mino Raiola’s words to De Telegraaf reaffirm the imminent transfer.

Juventus will reportedly  invest around €80m, including commission of around €11m to Raiola himself and the club are hoping to welcome De Ligt by the end of this week.
