Rodrigo Bentancur gave his first interview as a Juventus player and calls it an “honour” to play for the Bianconeri.
The talented young Uruguayan joined the club in the winter break before finalising his move this summer and taking part in his first training sessions at Vinovo in recent weeks.
Speaking to JTV, the midfielder talked about making the move from Boca to Juve.
“My dream has always been to play in Europe,” Bentancur told the channel.
“As soon as I had the chance to come to Europe I was very happy and it’s an honour to be at Juventus.
“I already have 100 appearances for Boca, and I want to use that here too.
“I was fortunate enough to play for a wonderful club like Boca since I was little, followed by a lot of fans in a very important stadium with a passionate atmosphere.
“When I heard I was coming to Juventus, the first thing I did was to watch all of Juve’s matches and above all look at the midfielders.
“I know this is a new football, faster than the Argentine one, but I’m ready to learn everything about Italian football.
“I can play in every role, I like to play in front of defence but I also like to attack. Then obviously the Coach will decide where I play.”
