Serie A clubs have rejected the suggestion of a play-off to settle the 2019/20 season.

The Lega held an assembly meeting yesterday evening with the aim of resolving how to complete the current season once the Coronavirus outbreak in Italy has abated.

La Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Nicolo Schira reports that the clubs have rejected the idea of a play-off out of hand with the nominal idea being to play fixtures every three days.

It’s also suggested that the entirety of June will be used to bring the season to a close, especially as EURO 2020 looks every more likely to be postponed by a year.
