Juventus striker Simone Zaza has expressed a desire to stay at Juventus ‘for a long time.’

The forward joined Juve last summer and has only featured in a handful of games, despite scoring some important goals, not least last weekend’s match winner against Napoli.

“Unfortunately I’ve not played much so far,” Zaza said.

“I’m glad I scored, it was a great feeling, a great achievement. Hopefully I can improve my record even further.

“To play at Juventus Stadium is a special feeling, I’d already been here as an opponent and it had a strange effect, but I really got chills when I scored against Sevilla, or the one against Torino when I heard the roar of the stadium.

“I’m very proud to be at Juventus, and I hope to stay for a long time. The relationship with the fans is great and after a period where they didn’t know me they appreciate me now.

“Juventus is a point of arrival for me, and at the same time a starting point.

“My goal is to stay here and try to establish myself for many years.

“One of my favourite strikers was Van Basten, then also Il Fenomeno, Ronaldo as well as Drogba and Ibrahimovic, I really like them.”
