Juventus are set to extend the contracts of Andrea Barzgli and Giorgi Chiellini while Benedikt Howedes may yet have a future in Turin.

Both centre-back’s are approaching the end of their current contracts with the Bianconeri and talks have been underway on extensions to both players deals.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, Juventus will extend Chiellini’s existing contract until 2020 while Barzagli will get a one-year extension until 2019.

Meanwhile, Benedikt Howedes may yet remain in Turin, despite only making one professional appearance for the Bianconeri. The defender has a €13m obligatory clause in his deal, should he make more than 25 appearances for Juventus over the season, however Juventus director Beppe Marotta may negotiate to keep the player at Juve, albeit at a lowered fee.
