Juventus will be without Alvaro Morata for at least 30 days  while Sami Khedira is confirmed as out for two months.

Morata underwent a scan yesterday after pulling up in training and the initial scan has revealed a torn muscle.

“Alvaro Morata will be side-lined for up to 30 days after suffering a torn soleus muscle in his left calf during yesterday evening’s training session,” Juve confirmed on their official website.

“Having departed the workout early, the striker underwent tests today in Shanghai to reveal the full extent of the damage.”

The Spanish striker will miss the SuperCoppa Italiana this weekend against Lazio as well as the two opening fixtures of the season against Udinese and Roma.

The Bianconeri have also confirmed that German midfielder Sami Khedira will be out of action for at least two months having picked up an injury against Marseille last weekend.

“Sami Khedira will be side-lined for approximately two months after medical examinations revealed a second-grade myotendinous tear of the rectus femoris muscle in his right thigh,” the Old Lady confirmed in a statement on their official site.

Juve’s injury problems seem to piling up at present with Giorgio Chiellini out for at least three weeks after pulling up early-on in Juve’s friendly against Lechia Gdansk.
