Juventus manager Beppe Marotta has distanced the club from rumours over Leonardo Bonucci’s return, insisting “we have a full squad, especially in defence.”

“It all started because we cordially met with Leonardo [Milan’s general manager] and studied some things,” Marotta explained to Sky.

“He told us what Bonucci was thinking, and he spoke well of his years at Juventus. Milan only told us what the player feels.

“Right now we have a full squad, especially in defence. The relationship with Bonucci is based on mutual respect, but for now I wouldn’t go any further.”
