Juventus director Beppe Marotta has confirmed that Juventus will sign someone from Atalanta, most likely Mattia Caldara or Roberto Gagliardini.

“I will not deny we have set our sights on some interesting young players in Italian football, which continues to churn out talents,”  Marotta told Sky Sport Italia.

“We are working and negotiating with some emerging talents who deserve to be on the main stage.”

Marotta was asked if this was defender Caldara or midfielder Gagliardini.

“We have a good rapport with Atalanta and I won’t deny we did meet. The transfer window opens in January, but I can confirm we will sign someone from them.”

Previous reports suggested Caldara is likeliest target and that Juventus had already agreed a deal for the 22-year-old which would see him remain at Atalanta until 2017 or 2018.
