Juventus forward Paulo Dybala is close to renewing his existing Juventus deal, insisting that talks are “very advanced.”
The talks over a new deal have dragged on since the start of the season with Juve director Beppe Marotta insisting that the announcement would come near the end of February.
Despite the ongoing negotiations, Dybala insists that the a new deal is close.
“In recent days Juventus and my agent have been able to talk,” Dybala told Gazzetta dello Sport.
“We’re very advanced, but now my agent will return to Argentina for the birth of his son. I know we’ve been talking about this since November, but it’s not only up to me, you should also talk to Juventus.”
La Joya is expected to sign a new 5-year-deal, netting €7.5m, making him one of the top-earners at the club.
Come on!
One day the deal is closed, the other day the deal was postponed due to the manager’s wife giving birth to his child….! Am I the only one to think that they intentionaly stall the decision? I have the feeling that Dybala wants out and we will have a new Pogba summer this year all over again. Only this time on, please Marrotta do the right thing and sell him to Real for 70 m plus Isco and no one will be able to tell the difference in our quality!Heck, Isco may as well produce more if given the chance to play regularly!
I am reaching my limits with the lad. Is not only the theatrics when fouled or loses the ball as the Poet mentioned, is that after a decent 2016 the kid thinks of himself as the new Del Piero all of a sudden. He stopped improving, dives and even dared to disrespect the Manager! He can do those things in one of the party clubs in Spain but as Bonucci can now confess, Juve is no party club!
So sign the contract and be done with it, or tell them you want to leave and let Marrotta work his magic.
Either way, as the Pogba case showed, Juve need no player more than the player needs Juve.
no isco please, we dont need some bench warmer.if we lose dybala we need constructive attacker or we just push pjanic up to cam and buy some world class midfielder plus one real winger(sanchez) or bernardeschi( i know, he isnt real winger but fantastic replacement for dybala)so no drama i think
Isco is by no means a bench player material ,just not that marketable to play regularly for that Spice Girls club.
No Bernadeschi, too raw.
No Sanchez, he had his chance twice and decided otherwise.Plus his wage will unsettle the rest of the star players!
I would go for Isco (great value for money) and invest the money from Zaza, Dybala and Coman on Bernardo Silva (to replace Cuadrado) and Verratti !
Very much agreed, comrade.
Last season he appeared brimming with humility and determination, whereas this season he has seen his stock rise dramatically and no doubt there have been discussions in the shadows between agents and clubs. I suspect he seeks the shinier stage in Real, have done now for a while. He believes in the galactico institution as the pinnacle, as where the true greats of the game play and find their recognition and widespread reverence. He also whines like a La Liga player…as I alluded to in my recent report.
The deal you mentioned would be fine. Isco is far more the finished product and a similar age. Still, there is the bother than spaniards rarely succeed in Italy, but world class talent succeeds anywhere.
I hope he stays, but assume he will leave within the next 1-3 seasons. He doesn’t have the love of the club to become a legend in black and white…
