Italian journalist Fabio Ravezzani believes Juventus head coach Luciano Spalletti may have irked the club’s CEO, Damien Comolli, with his latest comments.
While the Bianconeri have yet to display scintillating form under the 66-year-old’s guidance, they have at least improved their results, registering three wins and as many draws in all competitions.
The Turin-based giants rounded off a positive week by beating Cagliari 2-1 on Saturday evening, mostly thanks to Kenan Yildiz’s first-half brace.

The contest against the Sardinians also witnessed an injury for Dusan Vlahovic, who left the pitch in great agony, and could be out of action for months.
The Serbian was replaced by Jonathan David, who once again failed to inspire and ended up being jeered by his own supporters.
For his part, Lois Openda was introduced in the final minutes, and he didn’t fare much better. These displays left the fans anxious, wondering how these two strikers would cope in the coming months.
Luciano Spalletti urges Jonathan David & Lois Openda to prove their worth
After the match, Spalletti noted that it is up to the Canadian and Belgian to prove they aren’t as ‘poor’ as their detractors claim.
Nevertheless, Ravezzani believes that this statement won’t sit well with Comolli, who signed these two strikers last summer.
“Juventus needed an hour to break down Cagliari, but ultimately earned a convincing win, with Yildiz and Conceicao standing out,” posted the TeleLombardia director on his X account.
“Far more puzzling were Spalletti’s words: with Vlahovic out, instead of defending Openda and David, he said that ‘everyone considers them poor’ and it’s up to them to prove otherwise.
“Comments like that don’t help them — they undermine them. Comolli surely won’t have appreciated it.”
While the manager’s words may have come off too blunt, David and Openda didn’t need Spalletti to relay to them the feeling around Turin, as the supporters’ reaction in the stands was resounding enough.

It’s because of decisions like this that our beloved Juve will not be successful. Comolli should be sacked.

Only a disabled person didn’t see that the midfield needed strengthening in the summer. And Comolli did nothing. What is the Juve management doing in the fall? They promoted him after the bad mercato. Then why was Giuntoli fired? Why wasn’t he promoted too? Comolli isn’t better than him.
